The mission of Mean Green Juniors is to provide youth athletes in Denton and the surrounding areas the opportunity to learn and develop proper fundamental volleyball skills in a structured, fun, and challenging environment. Mean Green Juniors Volleyball focuses on teaching young athletes how to play the game correctly, how to communicate with each other, and creates an environment with as many ball contacts as possible under the active instruction of the North Texas Volleyball staff and current North Texas players.
All trainings are held in the North Texas Volleyball facility! Every training will be under the direct supervision of either Coach Sarah Rumely (UNT Assistant Coach and former Division I 2x All-American) or Coach Ken Murczek (UNT Head Coach and 20 years of coaching experience). Sarah and Ken both played Division I and professional volleyball in Europe and have an incredible passion for coaching and developing youth volleyball players both as people and athletes.
Mean Green Juniors has a proven systematic way of teaching proper fundamental volleyball skills. This will be the 3rd season for Mean Green Juniors. Philosophically, Mean Green Juniors believes players under the age of 14 should be spending the majority of their training time working on proper technique and skill development as opposed to playing in a magnitude of tournaments. We believe the most learning takes place within this age group during training with multiple repetitions. The players will be challenged both physically and mentally every training session in a competitive environment.

This season, we will offer 11 and Under, 12 and Under, 13 and Under and 14 and Under age groups. Each team (local and select) will compete in at least 3 tournaments over the course of the season which runs from January 7-April 7.
Eagles Program
